RxPad has five roles. A user can hold more than one. Roles control what each person can see and do. Here is a quick overview, followed by the detail for each role.
Prescriber Seats are the only one that we charge for, all admin users are free of charge.
Role | Seats / org | Manage patients | Prescribe scripts | Approve invites, seats & billing | Transfer ownership | View Data Reports |
Prescriber | Unlimited | Yes | Yes | No | No | No |
Owner | 1 | Yes | If also a Prescriber | Yes | Yes | Yes |
SuperAdmin | Unlimited | Yes | If also a Prescriber | Yes | No | Yes |
Patient Admin | Unlimited | Yes | No | No | No | No |
Rx Admin | Unlimited | Via Patient Admin | Read-only view | No | No | No |
“If also a Prescriber” means the Owner or SuperAdmin can write scripts only when they also hold the Prescriber role. The Rx Admin role must be paired with Patient Admin (see below).
1. Prescriber
Seats: Unlimited (within your plan).
Sets up their prescriber account, adds and edits patients, and writes, sends and amends prescriptions.
2. Owner
Seats: 1 per organisation.
Approves user invitations, manages seat allocation and billing, and can transfer ownership. The Owner does not have to be a prescriber – an admin user can hold it.
3. SuperAdmin
Seats: Unlimited.
Has all Owner privileges (approve invitations, manage seats and billing) except transferring ownership of the organisation.
4. Patient Admin
Seats: Unlimited.
Adds, views and manages patient records. Cannot prescribe.
5. Rx Admin
Seats: Unlimited.
Views prescription information (read-only). Cannot write, send or adjust prescriptions.
Note: To activate the Rx Admin role, the user must also have the Patient Admin role enabled – configure both together.
Note also that Data Reports is visible only to the Owner and SuperAdmins.
