How to write a paper prescription

K
Written by Kai Becker

When a prescription needs to be on paper, compose it exactly as you would an electronic script, then tick the Create Paper Script box before clicking Submit. RxPad generates a printable PDF that opens in a new tab – print it onto your prescription paper.

Use a paper script when the patient has no mobile or email, when eRx Script Exchange (PDS) is unavailable, or when the patient asks for paper.

Note: In a multi-script session, ticking Create Paper Script on any tab converts all prescriptions in that session to paper – you cannot mix paper and electronic in the same session.
